Terms of Service

Rungis a macOS productivity application that helps you track habits, tasks, goals, and focus sessions. References to “we,” “us,” or “our” refer to the Rung team.

You must be at least 13 years old to use Rung. By using the app, you represent that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you should have your parent or guardian review these terms.

An account is not required to use Rung. Core features work entirely offline. If you choose to create an account for cloud sync:

• You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure.
• You must provide accurate information when signing up.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You must notify us immediately if you believe your account has been compromised at admin@rungdaily.com.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

You agree not to:

• Use Rung for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the app.
• Use automated tools to access or scrape any part of the Rung service.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data.
• Resell, sublicense, or redistribute Rung without our written permission.
• Use the app in any way that could damage, disable, or impair our infrastructure.

You own your data. We do not claim any ownership over the tasks, habits, goals, or focus sessions you create in Rung. Our Privacy Policy explains in detail how your data is stored, synced, and handled.

Pro and Lifetime subscribers can export all their data as CSV files at any time from their account page. We are committed to data portability.

Rung, its logo, design, and all related software are the intellectual property of the Rung team. These terms do not grant you any rights to use our name, logo, or branding.

We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use Rungon your own devices in accordance with these terms.

Rung uses third-party services including Supabase (for authentication and optional sync) and Stripe (for payment processing). Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party providers.

We aim to keep Rung available and functioning, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may update, modify, or discontinue features at any time. For Lifetime plan holders, we will make reasonable efforts to maintain equivalent functionality for the life of the product.

We may release app updates at any time. Major updates may require you to update the app to continue using certain features. We encourage keeping the app up to date.

Rungis provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be error-free, secure, or continuously available.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Rung team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of productivity, or loss of profits. Our total liability for any claim related to the app will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes will be resolved through good-faith negotiation first. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, you agree to submit to the jurisdiction of the courts applicable to our place of business.

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you (for example, via email or a notice in the app). Continued use of Rung after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
